Netflix and Fincher, this is as amazing as Biryani and Aloo (Potato), and this combination is in no way stopping soon, which is probably for the betterment of the industry. He and his Mindhunter managed to grab the attention of the masses for ages.
And similar to that, Fincher’s The Killer, though a fantastic film, did have some minor misses, but that didn’t stop it from becoming one of the best watches of the past year. And now, the rumor is floating that Fincher and Netflix might cook again.
This time, it will be as big as the US adaptation of Squid Game.
Some sources are saying that Fincher is ‘quietly working’ on the US adaptation of Squid Game, as last year, the OTT giants desperately wanted Fincher to direct this.
Now, it is a very weird thing as Fincher barely works on content like this, especially something of an adaptation. But, if you look closely, very few directors are as fluent as Fincher when it comes to psychological stuff.
Previously, it was somewhat confirmed that Fincher would be associated as a producer, but like some of his notable projects, he will be managing dual responsibility.
Now, what are the fans saying?
They aren’t too happy with this step as Squid Game is already very popular and it doesn’t really need the vision of Fincher. The fans are determined that they would strongly prefer something with the caliber of Mindhunter over Squid Game, as the former one was a beloved one as it was Fincher’s creation. But, some are just optimistic.
