Multi-accolade-winning American film director David Fincher is no stranger for avid film fanatics, especially of the psychological thriller genre. Some of his most notable works include ‘Se7en’, ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’, ‘Fight Club’, ‘The Killer’, ‘Gone Girl’, and many more titles that have gone on to secure spots on lists that recommend the best of their respective genres.
That being said, we have some good news for fans!
The Oscar-winning director is gearing up for his next project at Netflix, alongside Michael Gilio as the writer behind the script. ‘Bitterroot’ (formerly: Big Hole), a Western crime thriller, is the most recent upcoming project from the long-running collaboration between Fincher and the streamer, following the success of the 2023 title ‘The Killer’, starring Michael Fassbender and Tilda Swinton in leading roles.
The movie’s premise follows an elderly rancher whose life savings have been very unfortunately stolen. Thus, in all fairness, he sets out to get his money back. The catch: he does so by robbing banks and hunting down the thieves, all the while being pursued by his son, who is the sheriff.
No information has been made public about the cast and release of the film yet. However, this is one of the four new projects that Fincher is reportedly working on at Netflix!
