David Robert Mitchell is an American film director and writer who received significant recognition after completing his second feature film, the critically acclaimed horror film It Follows. Other than that, he has directed ‘The Myth of the American Sleepover’ and ‘Under The Silver Lake’.
Taking what seems like a huge career jump, his next directorial project ‘Flowervale Street’ is all set to star industry veterans Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor. Hathaway’s 25-year career spans timeless hits like the Princess Diaries franchise, ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, ‘Interstellar’, ‘One Day’, ‘The Intern’ and many more. On the other hand, McGregor’s 23-year career spans superhits like the Star Wars franchise, ‘Obe Wan Kenobi’, ‘Trainspotting’, ‘Moulin Rouge’, ‘Doctor Sleep’ and more.
With the plot details still under wraps, the film has been previously described as a thriller and is officially set to hit the big screen in IMAX on May 16, 2025. It will be released by Warner Bros. Apart from Hathaway and McGregor, Christian Convery and Maisy Stella, breakout stars of the year, will also be starring in the mysterious feature. They are rumored to be playing Hathaway and McGregor’s children.
