Srijit’s ‘Dawshom Avatar‘ will have a Puja release and it is one of the most anticipated bengali titles of the year. ‘Dawshom Avatar’ is the crossover between two iconic thrillers of Srijit Mukherjee: Baishe Srabon and Vinci Da.
The film will have a huge star cast with actors like Prasenjit Chatterjee, Anirban Bhattacharya and the new inclusion Jisshu Sengupta. Previously Shubhashree was going to play the female lead but she left the project due to date issues. Now Bangladeshi actor Jaya Ahsaan is going to play the role. Ahsaan is a popular face in Bengali cinema and has collaborated with Srijit in films like ‘Ek Je Chhilo Raja’. There are chances of cameos of Parambrata Chatterjee and other actors too, that Srijit is going to keep a secret.
Prasenjit will play the role of Inspector Probir Roy Chowdhury from Baishe Srabon and Anirban will play the iconic ACP Poddar. There is a slight problem in the casting, as Anirban Bhattacharya had a role in the universe of Baishe Srabon as well. He played Khoka, a gangster and Inspector Abhijit’s love interest in Dwitiyo Purush, the sequel to Baishe Srabon. The director is constantly getting trolled as well appreciated by different sets of audiences after the announcement. Many fans are excited for such a wonderful crossover between two of the most loved thrillers of the Bengali film industry.
There will of course be a huge clash of large scale bengali films this Puja. Srijit’s Dawshom Avatar is being awaited by fans. It has all the possibilities of being another cult classic from the director.
