Talking about one of the futures of DC, now the tree of DC is practically rejuvenated. They practically cut off their old head, and now there are some major updates coming very frequently. As the world is waiting for the new Superman and the big titles, DC might work on one of their most successful past projects.
Some recent updates state that DC will soon invest in an animated series based on Smallville. Michael Rosenbaum, the OG Lex Luthor, spilled some beans about the future plan of the show.
“All I could share is that it’s a great idea. We have Al [Gough] and Miles [Millar], the creators of Smallville, backing us up,” Rosenbaum said in an interview with Screen Rant. “When it’s the right time, we’d like to go and do this: pitch to Warner Bros. It has to be the right time, and right now is not the right time.”
He added, “We had the strike, we had a change of executives at DC — one being one of my best friends in the world, James Gunn. When the time’s right, I think it’s something that’s a no-brainer unless they have other ideas. We’d like to do it — the whole cast would like to do it.”
Rosenbaum also shared that the entire cast would voice their characters for an upcoming project. The show, spanning 10 seasons split between The WB and The CW, starred Tom Welling as Clark Kent, Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang, and featured a diverse ensemble cast including Jensen Ackles and Erica Durance.
