After many years of development of a live-action film based on the DC comics’ popular character ‘The Flash’, the production for the upcoming DCEU movie ‘The Flash’ has finally been wrapped up after filming commenced in April this year. The film’s director Andy Muschietti broke the exciting news through his Instagram post and alongside he shared two behind-the-scene photos from ‘The Flash’ movie.
DC fans were in for a treat when the first official teaser trailer of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) movie ‘The Flash’ was unveiled during the DCFanDome 2021 global event on Saturday. ‘The Flash’ teaser featured the titular superhero essayed by Ezra Miller as he travels back in time in the film, to save his mother from getting murdered, albeit with unanticipated repercussions.
Besides an electrifying sneak-peek of the much-awaited comeback of Michael Keaton’s Batman, ‘The Flash’ teaser also showcased multiple versions of the titular character and a fleeting glimpse of Keaton’s Batman cave and a concealed Batmobile.
Alongside Ezra Miller as Barry Allen aka The Flash, and Michael Keaton’s Batman, the film will also feature Ben Affleck in his Bruce Wayne / Batman version, Sasha Calle as Supergirl, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Ron Livingston as Henry Allen, Maribel Verdu as Nora Allen, and Ian Loh as a young Barry Allen.
Ezra Miller has reprised his superhero role as ‘The Flash’ from the earlier films ‘Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice’, ‘Suicide Squad’ and ‘Justice League’. ‘The Flash’ movie is ostensibly inspired by DC Comics’ 2011 comic book ‘Flashpoint’.
‘The Flash’ is slated for a theatrical release on 4th November 2022. Besides ‘The Flash’, Ezra Miller will also be seen in the third installment of the Fantastic Beasts film series namely ‘Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore’ and ‘Dali Land’ co-starring Ben Kingsley.
