Millenium Media’s upcoming Hellboy reboot, The Crooked Man, has found its leading man. It is Deadpool 2 fame Jack Kesy!
Kesy has appeared in popular features like Baywatch, 12 Strong, Death Wish, Without Remorse, and many more. He is best known for playing Black Tom Cassidy in Deadpool 2, starring Ryan Reynolds.
The studio announced the second live-action Hellboy reboot last month. And ‘The Crooked Man’ can be the first entry in a potential series of films. Brian Taylor has been chosen by the studio to helm the project. He is best known for his directing duties in Crank, Crank: High Voltage, and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance. Hellboy comic book creator, Mike Mignola, and Chris Golden will pen down the script. The production will commence soon in Bulgaria.
The reboot is will take place in the 1950s. Hellboy gets stranded in rural Appalachia with a rookie BPRD agent. Soon, they both discover that a small group of people is haunted by a devil, who also has the support of witches. And the Great Red Beast’s past somehow shares a troubling connection with that devil.
This is what co-head of Millenium Media, Jonathan Yunger, said about Kesy’s casting in The Crooked Man:
“Jack Kesy is a dynamic actor who has the ability to morph into his roles. His talent and stature are perfect for this younger Hellboy. I was very impressed with him while working together on The Outpost.”
Millennium Media will soon add more actors to Hellboy: The Crooked Man. Stay tuned for more updates.
