Well, not exactly Deadpool and Wolverine, but Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman are now in talks for hosting the Oscars. The duo might be part of the host rotation along with a number of other stars.
The other actors on the list include Will Ferrell, Dwayne Johnson, and Amy Poehler. And now, Jackman and Reynolds will be taking over a portion of the show. The duo has such an intricate chemistry, which is one of a kind. The quippy nature of Ryan and the sacrific bits of Hugh make them pretty much equivalent to their on-screen characters.
Now, one can expect that the sheer unpredictability of Ryan Reynolds will lead to some of the most catastrophic gags ever seen on the stage of Academy Awards. Imagine the duo recreating Will Smith’s Infamous Slap moment. Or what if Ryan calls out the allegations that Academy faces?
But the question is, will they agree on it? Now, as far as business goes, Disney is banking on Deadool and Wolverine as its bet at Oscars. The two might just be the perfect pick to ride the hype. All we know is that if this comes to fruition, we might just have the most entertaining hosting duo handling Oscars.
