Looks like WB, HBO and DC are still under fire from the crazy expectations of fans. In the massive pool of the hashtag campaign of #RestoreTheSnydercut and #RestoreTheSnyderVerse, a new one is floating around and creating havoc. And we need to thank the DC Super-Villain Deathstroke for that.
Fans have launched a raucous hashtag campaign on Twitter, demanding a standalone HBO Max series on the DC Super-villain, Deathstroke. The campaign, #DeathstrokeHBOMax, has gained ground with thousands of tweets being posted by fans in support of the demand.
Deathstroke actor Joe Manganiello himself took to Twitter to join the campaign #DeathstrokeHBOMax and since then, vigorous shout outs from fans are pouring in on Twitter.
Since the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League on HBOMax earlier in March, fans are going crazy seeing super-villains Deathstroke and Joker teaming up with Batman and co. to fight the evil son of Krypton in the Knightmare sequence. Deathstroke looked extremely rugged and battle-ready in the same and that’s what intrigued and motivated fans to begin this campaign with the actor himself.
WB, HBO or even DC haven’t made any official comment on #DeathstrokeHBOMax but having prominent actors such as Ray Fisher, Ray Porter and now Joe Manganiello on board with the fans has only strengthened these campaigns.
Previously, when asked about a potential Deathstroke film or series, the Magic Mike star told “Entertainment Tonight” that audiences “want more” of his fan-favourite DC Comics villain on HBO Max. He added, “I think fans’ appetites are whetted for more, they want more.”
Now, fans are confident that they did it once with the Snydercut and they can do it again with”DeathstrokeHBOMax” to restore the standalone content to include this fan favourite super-villain.
