With the sheer quantity of content on streaming these days, it gets quite overwhelming for the digital viewer to watch everything that makes its way to streaming platforms. More often than not, most viewers maintain an ever-increasing list of shows and movies that they want to watch on OTT — aka the watchlist.
Imagine one’s shock and horror, then, when an OTT subscriber realises that the show that they had waiting for long on their watchlist has simply disappeared from its original home, and is nowhere to be found. The show in question is Prime Video India’s flagship show, ‘Inside Edge‘! Yes, search for Inside Edge Season 1 on Prime Video India, and you realise that the debut season of Inside Edge is not available to stream on Prime Video India anymore.
For those who don’t know, Inside Edge was Prime Video India’s first ever Indian Original web series. It was the series that helped Amazon Prime Video establish a foothold in the Indian streaming industry. Produced by Excel Entertainment, and created by Karan Anshuman, the show starred a bevy of Indian acting talent – Vivek Oberoi, Richa Chadda, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Tanuj Virwani, Angad Bedi, Sayani Gupta, Aamir Bashir, Sapna Pabbi, Manu Rishi, Amit Sial, Karan Oberoi, Asha Saini, among a host of others.
Inside Edge is set in the backdrop of massive illegal betting in the world of cricket. The star-studded Inside Edge Season 1 awed Indian digital viewers with its quality of storytelling and lavish production values.
And now it’s no longer available to stream on the platform that’s its own creator – Prime Video India. Inside Edge Season 1 is not available to watch anywhere, for that matter.
We would like to ask Prime Video India – what of your paying subscriber – maybe a newbie to the world of streaming entertainment – has just been made aware of Inside Edge, and decides to watch it? But sadly, when he logs into his Prime Video app, finds that Inside Edge Season 1 is not available to stream.
Such a disappointment for them; and a travesty from your end!
