Delhi Crime Season 2 is one of the best shows to arrive on Indian OTT in recent times. The series led by Shefali Shah also stars Rajesh Tailang, Rasika Duggal, Adil Hussain, and Denzil Smith in important roles.
As reported by Binged last week, Delhi Crime Season 2 was the most watched series in India. The condition has not changed and the series has indeed managed to retain its top position.
But, this is certainly not enough for a show which has so much potential. The first season of the show won an Emmy Award and the second one is good enough to justify the legacy of the first one. But even after so much, Delhi Crime Season 2 could not match The Fame Game.
Released in February, the Madhuri Dixit starrer show became immensely successful. It kept on trending on the platform for a long time and also made its way to the global list.
In its second week of the run, The Fame Game was seen in the “Most Watched non-English Series” globally.
Although Netflix indeed put a great many efforts into promoting the series with interesting teasers, it didn’t flaunt its “Emmy Award” card which could seriously benefit them.
We realize that Delhi Crime does not have a crowd-puller face like Madhuri Dixit but the content was good enough to attract the masses. Let’s see if Netflix is going to put more effort into perhaps their “only good show” this year.
