Though Disney is having some external dramas, whatever they are producing is definitely under a big question mark, but their another project gets an exciting update after the Studio released the trailer of Descendants: The Rise of Red.
Talking about the Disney film, it will get a summer release; it will premiere on July 12th. July would definitely be a good period for such films as July does seem a bit less crowded for upcoming releases, and also, as the target audience is kids, they will have the summer break by then.
The musical fantasy is directed by Jennifer Phang, and Dan Frey and Russell Sommer wrote the screenplay.
Talking about the plot, it’s nothing mind-boggling, just the same old Disney stuff. In the new project, “Red,” starring Kylie Cantrall and Rita Ora, Red, the princess of Wonderland, becomes a villain at Auradon Prep. When her mother, the Queen of Hearts, launches a coup, Red teams up with Chloe, Cinderella’s daughter, to travel back in time and prevent the event that led to her mother’s villainy.
The assembled cast does have potential, but the writers might let the project down, along with the studio. Obviously, Kylie Cantrall will lead the project along with Rita Ora and Baker, there are some fresh faces.
The other cast members are Brandy, Dara Reneé, Ruby Rose Turner, Morgan Dudley, Joshua Colley, Peder Lindell, Grace Narducci, Jeremy Swift, Paolo Montalban, Leonardo Nam, China Anne McClain, and Melanie Paxson.
The Indian demographic won’t really love this film; it is nothing new from Disney, that’s for sure. For the US audience, though kids might love it, we can’t avoid the fact that their taste is changing too, and how long will they deal with such films. Disney might have a hard time ahead of them.
