Illumination has dropped a brand new official trailer of Despicable Me 4, starring Steve Carrel as Gru (a former villain turned AVL agent), Kristen Wiig as Lucy Wilde (an AVL agent, and Steve Coogan as Silas Ramsbottom (who comes back from retirement). Apart from these familiar faces, we have some new villains this time: Maxime Le Mal (played by Will Ferrell) and his femme fatale girlfriend, Valentina (played by Sofia Vergara).
The latest trailer shows the new baddie, Maxime Le Mal, wreaking havoc in the lives of Gru and Lucy, along with his partner, Valentina. This scenario forces Ramsbottom to come out of his retirement to take back his post of AVL’s head. To neutralise Le Mal’s threat, Ramsbottom conducts experiments on five of Gru’s minions, turning them into super-powerful Mega Minions, equipped with insane powers.
We all know about Gru and Lucy’s three adopted daughters: Margo (Miranda Cosgrove), Edith (Dana Gaier), and Agnes (Madison Polan). In the upcoming entry, we will see a new member of their family, Gru Jr., who is hell-bent on tormenting his father. Apart from these talents, the film also has Joey King as Poppy, who is an aspiring villain.
