Dev and Mithun’s collaboration in ‘Prajapati’ was quite a big hit. The director Abhijit Sen and producer Atanu Roychouhdury is coming up with new films every year that hit the right cord with audiences. ‘Tonic’ starred Dev and was a huge hit. ‘Prajapati’ had Dev and Mithun together and last year ‘Prodhan’ was a big hit too. Looks like the director and producer duo are not going to do anything without Dev.
And now, there are reports that they might do yet another movie with Dev and Mithun Chakroborty will be coming together for the film. The film has been reportedly titled ‘Pratiksha’ and it will have a bigger budget than the previous films.
Bangladeshi actress Tasnia Fareen has been roped in for the female lead. A large portion of the movie will be shot abroad. But the Dev and Mithun are busy with other projects at the moment and Tasnia is not being able to commit herself due to the political climate of Bangladesh. However, it looks like we might get to see the movie next year itself.
This year, the three Bengali movies released in the Puja vacation did quite great at the box office and the stagnant situation of the industry is not there anymore. Fans are excited for ‘Pratiksha’ and to have Dev and Mithun together for a movie again.
