The big day is finally here. It is the 5th of April and Monkey Man is getting released in the USA. What about the Indian markets? No surety as of now. Well, this is very very disappointing. You clicked this article because you are interested in the sequel of the movie. But the truth is, we do not even have a release date for Monkey Man in India.
“Monkey Man” has received widespread praise for its exciting plot, intense action scenes, and excellent performances by the cast, which includes Sharlto Copley, Pitobash, Sobhita Dhulipala, Sikandar Kher, Vipin Sharma, and others.
Despite the positive reception, when asked about the possibility of a sequel, Dev Patel stated:
“I’m trying not to get ahead of myself. I know this sounds like a cliché, but just to … birth this little thing, it’s been a huge undertaking. This is all a dream come true.”
Is that a clear answer? No.
Since the daddy did not say, we do not know if Dev Patel’s brainchild is coming with a sequel or not. But, Patel like Greta Gerwig (For Barbie) or Shogun makers did not downright deny any possibility. So, there might be chances for the same.
Regardless, Monkey Man tells the story of Kid, a young man seeking revenge for his mother’s death caused by corrupt leaders. Along the way, Kid becomes a hero to the oppressed people suffering under these leaders.
