Viacom18 Studios has just released the trailer for its upcoming film ‘Dhak Dhak’. The film hits theatres this week, on 13th October, 2023. Taapsee Pannu is the co-producer of ‘Dhak Dhak’, under her production banner, Outsiders Films.
The trailer for ‘Dhak Dhak’ introduces us to the all-woman primary cast of the movie. There’s Sky, a badass travel blogger, played by Fatima Sana Shaikh. Mahi is her grandmother, but dreams to undertake a bike ride to Leh Ladakh via the Umling La, the world’s highest motorable road. Ratna Pathak Shah plays Mahi.
Dia Mirza plays Uzma, a typical burqa-clad Muslim housewife, but there’s a daring ‘jugaadu mechanic’ hiding under the burqa. Finally, Sanjana Sanghi plays Manjari in Dhak Dhak, a traditional God-fearing young girl, looking for the elusive adventure before her parents marry her off to the next suitor.
The Dhak Dhak trailer shows the four embarking on the seemingly impossible bike trip to Ladakh, and the problems that befall them on the way. From nature-borne hurdles to human ones, they must face it all.
Dhak Dhak is directed by Tarun Dudeja, who’s earlier directed the Disney Plus Hotstar movie, ‘Freddie’. The movie is written by Tarun Dudeja and Parijat Joshi.
