Indian superstar and super-performer Dhanush is fresh off the heels of his critically acclaimed performance in Aanand. L. Rai’s romantic drama ‘Atrangi Re’. Even a moderately passionate Indian movie buff would know that Dhanush is all set to star in the upcoming high-profile Hollywood movie titled ‘The Gray Man’. As per the latest buzz, ‘The Gray Man’ is being speculated to be released on the eminent OTT platform Netflix in the month of July 2022. And fans of the actor seem to be supremely delighted regarding the buzz.
Based on the 2009 novel of the same name written by Mark Greaney, ‘The Gray Man’ is a Netflix original action thriller film that has been directed by the globally renowned filmmaker duo Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, more popularly known as the Russo Brothers in the cinematic world.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Ryan Gosling (La La Land, Drive) and Chris Evans (a frequent collaborator of the Russo Brothers who had cast him as Captain America in the celebrated superhero film franchise) in the lead roles, besides also featuring Indian actor Dhanush.
‘The Gray Man’ revolves around an old-timer CIA operative Court Gentry (Ryan Gosling) who is double-crossed by his own organization, leaving him with no other option than to become a fugitive. Consequently, his former associate Lloyd Hansen (played by Chris Evans) is sent in pursuit of him. Purportedly been made on a budget of $200 million, ‘The Gray Man’ will most likely be made into a franchise and Ryan Gosling’s lead character will ostensibly be the center of that universe.
Besides ‘The Gray Man’, Dhanush’s forthcoming acting projects include K. Selvaraghavan’s action-adventure film ‘Aayirathil Oruvan 2’, Sekhar Kammula’s directorial movie, and Venky Atluri’s ‘Sir’, whose filming schedule had commenced earlier today.
