Tomorrow, on the occasion of Christmas Eve a very important film is going to be released. Atrangi Re called Galatta Kalyanam in Tamil will be released on Hotstar. But another film starring Dhanush has been announced today.
This one is also bilingual but it will be made in Tamil and Telugu.
The film will be released by the name of Vaathi in Tamil and Sir in Telugu.
Alongside Dhanush, Samyuktha Menon will also be seen in the film. She has worked in a few films in Tamil and Malayalam language Her notable movies include Kalari, Kalki, Erida and a few more.
The direction will be helmed by Venky Atluri who is primarily famous for Telugu films. His notable films include Mr Majnu from 2019 and Rang De released in March this year.
Naga Vamsi S and Sai Soujanya will be producing the film.

This will be inspired by a real story in which Dhanush will play the character of a teacher. Vaathi in Tamil means teacher only.
GV Prakash Kumar will be giving the music to this film. In the announcement video itself, you can listen to a calming background score.
The shooting of the film will start on 22nd January 2022.
