It’s been five days now that Netflix dropped the teaser and announced the release of the much awaited Tamil film ‘Jagame Thandhiram‘ on the global streaming giant but what’s left unnoticed is that it’s the same amount of time that the film’s lead star Dhanush has said absolutely nothing about it.
Yes, you read that right! Dhanush has posted or tweeted nothing on his social media accounts until now that suggests anything even close to the promotion of ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ and it’s premiere on Netflix. While its pretty normal to expect the lead stars to gain momentum around the film as much as possible, Dhanush’s silence goes on to tell a different but not a very surprising story.
From the very beginning Dhanush hoped for ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ to get a theatrical release and he expressed it publicly too. But the makers had other plans and the film ended up on Netflix as many had predicted before. And now the actor’s preference to not speak about a film he has put his time and effort into, goes on to say a lot about how dissatisfied and disappointed he might be feeling.
Moreover, no word on the teaser of the film further feels like a show of anger and rebellion against the producers, who went against his as well his fan’s hopes and wishes for ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ and it’s big screen moment.
While people are still asking Netflix and the makers for the film’s release date, it will be interesting to see if and when Dhanush will break his silence on ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ and say something or promote the film by revealing its trailer or release date, as he is currently doing for his other upcoming projects like ‘Karnan’.
Helmed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by S. Sashikanth of YNOT Studios and Reliance Entertainment, ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ stars Dhanush and is a full-on action drama that is all set to have a worldwide launch soon only on Netflix.
