Today has proved to be an exciting day for fans of Tamil star, Dhanush. Sun Pictures today announced the full cast for their new Dhanush film, temporarily titled D44. The film production company also announced with an engaging social media post that the title of their Dhanush film will be revealed tomorrow. D44 is said to be a full-on fun and entertaining family drama.
D44 is directed by Mithran Jawahar. The cast of the film was announced today with hourly updates on the Twitter and Instagram handles of Sun Pictures. And it must be said – the D44 cast is a big, fat one, and a super interesting one! D44 stars Dhanush in the lead, alongside Nithya Menen, Prakash Raj, Raashi Khanna, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Bharathiraja.
The most interesting thing about the newly announced cast of D44 is the inclusion of three leading female actors in the film. Apparently, Dhanush’s character in D44 will romance three leading ladies in the film. Now we know that Raashi Khanna, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Nithya Menen are those three leading ladies. The three play the love interests of Dhanush’s character in different stages of his life, from youth to adulthood.
The premise and plot of the film will only be revealed once we have a teaser, or more updates from the production house about the plot. As of now, we’re finally getting a title for D44, as soon as tomorrow! The title reveal comes a day before D44 goes on the floors – which is said to be on August 6.
This is Dhanush’s fourth collaboration with director Mithran Jawahar, after their earlier films, Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Kutty and Uthamaputhiran. Young and in-demand music composer Anirudh Ravichander has scored the music for D44.
