Coming from the makers of ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, the trailer for ‘Dhokha: Round D Corner’ is out now and this thriller drama is pretty intriguing. Helmed by Kookie Gulati, ‘Dhokha: Round D Corner’ is set to release in theatres on 23rd September, 2022.
The trailer begins with Yathaarth (R. Madhavan) entering the apartment through the front door with a bag of money to free his wife Sanchi (Khushalii Kumar) from her abductor Haq Gul (Aparshakti Khurrana). But shockingly Sanchi abuses him and asks Haq to shoot him and in the scuffle a shot gets fired.
It then takes us into flashback where Yathaarth and Sanchi are seen as a couple much in love, moving into a new house and building a happy life together. Soon comes the scene where Yathaarth learns about terrorist Haq Gul, who has killed 13 innocent people, hiding in his own apartment.
He rushes home where the entire building compound has turned into a war zone with heavy forces deployed and media covering every bit. Turns out the terrorist has demanded 50 lakhs or he will kill the woman. Yathaarth then explains to the police how his simple looking wife suffers from delusional disorder and is extremely volatile.
But it’s after this point that the story gets twisted and complicated. Haq has his own version of truth and he also discovers and tells Sanchi how his husband gives her pills to make her mad. But what really is the truth, is Yathaarth really the culprit here or are there many more layers to this thrilling tale. Also, to add to the twist the first scene is repeated in the end but this time Sanchi asks Yathaarth to save him.
‘Dhokha: Round D Corner’ is touted to be a suspense drama following a day in the life of an urban couple. Full of various twists and turns the film unravels the grey shade of every character.
Directed by Kookie Gulati (‘The Big Bull’, ‘Prince’) ‘Dhokha: Round D Corner’ stars R. Madhavan, debutant Khushalii Kumar, Darshan Kumar and Aparshakti Khurana (‘Dangal’, ‘Hum Do Hamare Do’) in lead roles. While Madhavan has recently created waves with ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’, Darshan Kumar was last seen in the much acclaimed ’The Kashmir Files’.
‘Dhokha: Round D Corner’ is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Dharmendra Sharma and Vikrant Sharma. T-Series is the production company behind the film. ‘Dhokha: Round D Corner’ is set to release in cinemas on 23rd September, 2022.
