Kya bolta hai Bhidu? Isn’t Jackie Shroff the only person who comes to your mind when you hear the word Bhidu. He has an impeccable charm and the way he speaks off the screen is so different. He sounds honest, charming, entertaining and everything positive.
When Bollywood stars are so deep in the mud of fake accents, incorrect English and annoying fake statements, Jackie Shroff or Jaggu Dada is actually a very lovable figure.
Needless to say, he enjoys a high popularity amongst the audience and it also causes him to gain some unwanted attention. But, first the news.
Jackie Shroff has gone to the Delhi High Court to stop people from using his name, pictures, and even the word ‘bhidu’ without his permission to make money. His lawyer says this is misleading and could make people think Jackie endorses products he doesn’t.
They’re upset about things like ringtones, wallpapers, and merchandise being sold without permission. They also don’t like the mean memes and GIFs with Jackie’s face on them, and the use of fake voices that say bad things. Jackie’s lawyer says this hurts his image and is like defamation.
But, what could have been the trigger point?
The latest episode in The Great Indian Kapil Show was graced by the six ladies of Heeramandi. Naturally, the team of the show had plans to entertain us and Krushna Abhishek mimicked Jackie Shroff’s iconic character “Chunni Babu” from “Devdas”.
Jackie Shroff has a really inspiring campaign where he promotes planting trees. Jaggu Dada in his iconic style used to say “Jhaad Lagane ka Bhidu”. Now, this aspect of the actor was also mimicked. We are not saying that The Great Indian Kapil Show is the reason behind this step of Jackie Shroff, after all, it is not the first time Krushna has mimicked Jackie Shroff. He has been doing it for years now.
But, it could be a spark you know. What do you think about the whole matter?
