What does a witch do? A witch deceives, a witch creates illusions, and if you thought you could expect otherwise from Agatha, you couldn’t be more wrong. She definitely came out as a defining character of the WandaVision series, and fans were eager to see her story. Thus, Marvel was serious about a new Agatha series.
But there was a naming problem from the beginning.
Marvel frequently changed the title; we should have guessed it before. But we weren’t clever enough for Agatha.
The first official title for the show was Agatha All Along, but then her mischief started. The show underwent rapid title changes, which is definitely a weird thing for a show of this caliber.
The first title change was Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, but then it shifted to Agatha: Coven of Chaos. You might not smell something fishy here, but the show had a third title change to Agatha: House of Harkness. At that point, fans made a mockery of it; some even said they would use the previous names as the names of episodes. Even when they used the name Darkhold Diaries in their official slate, Disney seemed committed to it.
But the icing on the cake happened a couple of nights ago when Disney came up with an absurd name altogether—Agatha: Lying Witch With Great Wardrobe—which wasn’t just a mockery; some fans actually took it seriously.
Did this form of advertisement work?
Absolutely. Most news portals went crazy over it, especially when it came to making a mockery of it. So the strategy definitely worked, and as we come to know now, it was ‘AGATHA ALL ALONG’. Fans are too excited about the show to be released on September 18th.
