Netflix’s original content slate is an amazingly surprising mix bag. One moment you are watching some pretty serious drama like ‘Adolescence’ and then you are on to a heartwarming self love journey with ‘The Life List’.
Much has been said about the former, it’s the latter that we are going to discuss here. Penned and helmed by Adam Brooks, ‘The Life List’ is a romantic comedy drama starring Sofia Carson in lead role.
In ‘The Life List’, a caring dead mom has left a unique to do list for her stuck in a hole daughter Alex, that the latter complied when she was 13-years old. Moreover she will get the inheritance only after she has ticks off all the items in the list in a limited time frame.
This leads to a heartwarming journey of self discovery for Alex who feels frustrated at times with the things she needs to get done but somewhere within her she knows it’s important for her own good. Though you might feel lack of motive and inspiration behind it all at certain points.
Viewers have touted ‘The Life List’ to be a roller coaster of emotions that makes you cry, smile, laugh, and much more. From mother-daughter love, grief of losing your loved one to finding one true love, the movie tries to capture it all while remaining poignant and inspiring.
Another good thing about ‘The Life List’ as claimed by viewers is that it doesn’t get overdramatic, is well paced and keeps you wanting to know what happens next but not in any urgent rushed manner.
Doesn’t all that sound interesting?
‘The Life List’ might not be everyone’s cup of tea but those who love that warm, cozy feeling you get after watching a rom-com, this might be your new favourite!
