The trailer for Disney Plus Hotstar’s upcoming series ‘Dil Bekaraar’ is out on the social media handles of the streamer. After a couple of similar looking teasers that did not reveal much of the storyline, the just-released trailer for ‘Dil Bekaraar’ gives ample clue into what the series is all about. For those who don’t know, Dil Bekaraar is an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s best-selling novel ‘Those Pricey Thakur Girls’.
The 2-minute long ‘Dil Bekaraar‘ trailer introduces the Thakur family of Delhi. Veteran actor Raj Babbar makes his OTT debut as Laxmi Narayan Thakur the head of the family, while Poonam Dhillon plays his wife, Mamta. Padmini Kolhapure, Chandrachur Singh, Medha Shankar, Saher Bammba, Akshay Oberoi, Sukhmani Sadana, Tej Sapru, Shataf Figar and Anjali Anand form the rest of the cast.
The series is set in the eighties. So the trailer is also narrated by a voice-over that apes popular voice-over artist and radio presenter, Ameen Sayani. The primary focus is on the equation between leads Saher Bammba and Akshay Oberoi, a burgeoning romance that is hampered by a tiff and misunderstandings.
‘Dil Bekaraar’ will premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on 26th November, 2021. The series is being produced by Smruti Shinde’s SOBO Films, and directed by Habib Faisal.
