Aarya Season 2 (Streaming from 10th December)
Based on a Dutch series called ‘Penoza’, Aarya’s first season revolved around the titular protagonist (Sushmita Sen), and how she is forced to manage her husband’s (Chandrachur Singh in a wonderful cameo) illegal drug business after he is murdered by a mysterious killer. How the naïve housewife turns into a fierce woman in order to protect her family forms the rest of the show’s plot.
The Last Duel (Streaming from 15th December)
Virtuoso filmmaker Ridley Scott’s directorial is based on real-life events revolving around France’s last sanctioned duel. When the wife (Jodie Comer) of a courageous knight Jean de Carrouges (Matt Damon) accuses his best friend-turned-foe Jacques Le Gris (Adam Driver) of assaulting her, Carrouges challenges Jacques to a duel. The film also stars Matt Damon’s real-life best friend Ben Affleck.
