Disney+ Hotstar Drops Jacqueline Fernandez’s Sassy First Look For ‘Bhoot Police’

Disney+ Hotstar Drops Jacqueline Fernandez’s Sassy First Look For ‘Bhoot Police’

Disney+ Hotstar recently struck gold when it came to the OTT releases of Bollywood movies. Disney+ Hotstar has got quite a number of Bollywood movies now lined up for release. Out of all those movies, Disney+ Hotstar will be releasing Saif Ali Khan-Arjun Kapoor starrer “Bhoot Police”, first. The movie already seems interesting and to make it even better Disney+ Hotstar has been releasing the character posters one by one. First it was Vibhooti, then Chiraunji and now Kanika. Disney+ Hotstar sure is doing its thing in keeping fans engaged.

If you are confused as to what we just talked about, Vibhooti and Chiraunji are the character names of Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Kapoor in the movie. Their recent first look posters were released and for sure, it was a unique and out-of-the-box theme. Now, the streamer has released the first look poster for Jacqueline Fernandez, who is apparently named Kanika in the movie.

Kanika’s first look poster is also unique and here’s the reason why. Both the looks of Vibhooti and Chiraunji are giving off some strong “desi” vibes, with the way they are styled. But, that’s not the case with Kanika. She is looking modern and all sassy in the poster with a denim skirt and simple crop top. What makes her a part of the “Bhoot Police” is that she too is seen carrying her “weapon” of choice. For Vibhooti it was a customized “rake”, for Chiraunji it was fiery “mashaal” and for Kanika, it was some sort of “rope”. Well, a rope cannot be a weapon, until and unless it is used as a lasso, so for now we are going with Kanika having a lasso to catch those “bhoot”.

Given the theme and the character poster releases, we can say that the movie is about a team who probably is out there catching menacing ghosts, terrorizing people. In Kanika’s poster, we saw a ghastly image of a scarecrow, which didn’t seem like a normal one besides her, is a run down, wooden house, which again is the perfect setting for a ghost to reside, in our urban myths.

Now, with Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez done, we are patiently waiting for Yami Gautam and Jaaved Jaaferi’s poster releases. As for the movie, it has been directed by Pavan Kirpalani and produced by Ramesh Taurani and Akshai Puri.

The makers and streamer are yet to announce the release date for the movie, but as mentioned by Ramesh Taurani, the movie might release sometime in August or September. The makers went for the OTT route as they were seeing no hopes of theatres coming back to normal anytime soon and as the actors had no problems with the OTT release, the makers went ahead with the decision.

The movie last year was extensively shot in Himachal Pradesh, which for sure will give the perfect setting with its hilly terrain. Though nothing much has been disclosed about the movie, the movie shows how good can win over evil always.
