Disney+ Hotstar has dropped the trailer for its upcoming direct-to-digital release ‘Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story’ and this one’s cute but nothing more. Helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Kunal Kohli, ‘Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story’ will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on 11th February, 2025.
The trailer follows Bobby (Kaveri Kapur) and Rishi (Vardhan Puri), two strangers who meet in a foreign land and while travelling together flirt with each other. As expected the two start to develop feelings but are soon separated as they head their respective homes. That’s when the feeling kicks in harder and they realise how much they miss each other. Will they reunite and confess their love?
Now that’s a very predictable storyline of young adult romantic comedy and ‘Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story’ fits the template just right. With a beautiful backdrop, the film is all vibrant and colourful but just the aesthetics aren’t enough to do the job. Unless Kohli has some twist coming this one’s just your usual rom-com drama.
Directed by Kunal Kohli (‘Fanaa, ‘Hum Tum’), ‘Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story’ stars Vardhan Puri and Kaveri Kapur in the lead and is produced by Jio Studios in association with The Production Headquarters Ltd and The Indian Scion Production Ltd UK Production. ‘Bobby Aur Rishi Ki Love Story’ will land on Disney+ Hotstar on 11th February, 2025.
