Disney+ Hotstar has dropped the trailer for its upcoming original series ’Commander Karan Saxena’ and its the some old stuff with just new faces. While Gurmeet Choudhary makes for a good screen presence the story is just something the audience has seen multiple times and is probably utterly bored of.
In ‘Commander Karan Saxena’ India is under threat of a supposedly deadly and large scale attack from Pakistan as they seek revenge after having been humiliated and made to release an Indian soldier.
Not only is the plot an old one, the show’s setting gives daily soap vibes with some extra budget. Now that’s a total turn off when it comes to what you expect on OTT.
Gurmeet Chaudhary seems to be the only USP of ‘Commander Karan Saxena’ and it might not be enough to attract audience. And maybe that’s the reason Disney+ Hotstar has made the series available for free on the platform.
‘Commander Karan Saxena’ is a touted to be a high-octane action drama series directed by Jatin Satish Wagle. The show is produced by Keylight Production and is based on the character created by writer Amit Khan.
‘Commander Karan Saxena’ will launch only on Disney+ Hotstar on 8 July 2024.
