Disney+ Hotstar is bringing another hard-hitting HBO original to for streaming online. Releasing on the 10th of November, “Industry” is an English drama series that focuses on the lives of youngsters that have graduated and are trying to make it big in the world of finance and investment. The world of money, if one must say.
Following the story through the eyes of American Harper Stein, a young girl who came all the way to London to get a job in one of the most coveted finance company. A group of young graduates just like her joins in to be on the team of the company and to enter the world of money makers. Finance and investment play a very important role in the formation of the episodes of the series.
One other important thing that connects to the real lives of youngsters today is the competition. The need to make a mark and impress the people around has been a very important attribute and this will be clearly shown in the series.
These young characters fight tooth and nail to be on the list of their favorite recruiting company. Which they consider will be the game-changer of their lives. Something that has bred onto us for so long. The validation that one needs to be a part of society. The series reflects all those aspects pretty clearly. Other than that, these youngsters are struggling to make their lives easy, and being so young and just out of college, one can see they are enjoying partying out, falling in love, and everything that one expects from a young person.
Produced by Lena Dunham, Mikey Down, Konrad Kay, the show is created by the duo Mikey and Konrad. The series will be an 8 episode long affair and will be releasing both in America and London. India will be showcasing the content on Disney+ Hotstar from the 10th of November.
