Disney+ Joins Hands With Nippon To Deliver New Anime Shows

Reports from various prominent publication platforms confirmed Disney+ jumping into the anime territory at the end of last year. There is no denying that the world of anime treasures a diehard fanbase. It makes sense why the streaming service is dead set to deliver new anime shows in future. Now, the newly forged partnership between Disney+ and Nippon TV guarantees that the former is looking to expand its database by adding new anime products for its viewers. Both Disney+ and Nippon have released a joint statement via Variety, revealing their partnership to dispatch various anime shows in future.

“The collaboration will include co-production of local language content ranging from drama series, animation to variety shows on Disney Plus for both Japanese and global audiences and the availability of both companies’ content on their respective platforms,” said Carol Choi, managing director at Disney. Rumours are that the studio has expressed keen interest in streaming The Files of Young Kindaichi via Disney+ soon.

Additionally, Disney+ is ready to release a brand new Shonen series, Summer Time Rendering, on April 14. It is based on the manga series of the same name, penned down by Yasuki Tanaka. Furthermore, anime series like Black Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall, Yojohan Time Machine Blues, and Twisted Wonderland are also expected to drop on the streaming platform in future.

Nippon TV is globally prominent for bestowing iconic anime shows like Berserk, Tenchi Muyo, Death Note, and many more. And the television network’s recent deal with Disney will aid both in enhancing their viewership.
