Disney has been one of the worst hits in the past few months due to their sinister policies and terrible accusations. Poor treatment of workers, rising prices, poor original content and so many legal troubles led Disney to such a bad condition.
One of the biggest reasons behind this is the loss of subscribers in India from Disney+Hotstar. And you must already be aware of so many factors because of which Hotstar lost subscribers.
Regardless, the latest news is that while losing subscribers, Disney+ is also losing hope of achieving its target.
The Walt Disney Co. is projected to miss its 2024 Disney+ streaming service subscriber target by tens of millions, as per insiders. The original goal, set by former CEO Bob Chapek in August 2022, aimed for 215 million to 245 million subscribers. However, in February, the newly returned CEO Bob Iger announced that Disney would no longer be issuing subscriber forecasts, aligning with a similar decision made by Netflix.
So it is almost backing off from the claim or projection made by Disney officials themselves. Well, what Disney+ needs to do is rethink the way they want to project themselves in front of the people. They need to rework not only the content but also the brand image which is currently in ruins.
