Disney is submitting the name of ‘Thor: Love And Thunder‘ for consideration in the Academy Awards in categories like best film, best direction, best visual effects etc. It has submitted the names of ‘Dr. Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness’ and ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ for various categories too. There are many categories like best cinematography, best editing, best costume designing where films like ‘Black Panther 2’ still have a chance. But ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ has disappointed fans in every way possible.
After the Infinity Saga was over, the chief filmmakers of MCU like Taika Watiti wanted to give something more to the audiences. But the Multiverse Saga that is currently going on in MCU is purely running on nostalgia and fans are not happy with the script, dialogues, stories and anything at all. Though Dr. Strange In The ‘Multiverse Of Madness got mixed reviews’, ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’ was not liked by the most hardcore Marvel fans. Filmmakers like Sam Raimi and Taika Watiti are failing to provide up to the expectations that fans have.
This only brings trolling and mockings at the decision of submitting a mediocre film for the most prestigious film Awards. When the most popular and critically acclaimed films of Marvel Cinematic Universe are yet to get any of these awards, it is ridiculous to submit the name of a movie that did not get positive reactions from audiences or critics. But amidst all the trolling for ‘Thor: Love And Thunder’, fans still have hope that ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ deserves to win an award in many major categories.
