Disney+Hotstar has announced two new projects. One of them will be in Tamil and the other one in Telugu. The OTT giant thus tries to strengthen the regional slates.
The Tamil project is named ‘MY 3’ and it is directed by Rajesh M. This would be the OTt debut of actress Hansika Motwani. It will be a sci-fi comedy that will tell the love story kf two robots. The cast includes actors like Mugen Rao, Janani Iyer, Ashna Zaveri, Shantanu and many others. The music for ‘MY 3’ is given by Ganesan. The poster features Hansika Motwani and two other actors. Hansika is portrayed as a cyborg with machine parts on one side and she is being welded by some scientist guy with a machine. The show will be released in seven languages: Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, Bengali, Kannada and Marathi.
The Telugu project, on the other hand,seems to be dealing with some heavier subject. It is named ‘Athithi’ and looks like it will be a thriller or a horror. The details about the cast and crew have not been revealed yet and hopefully soon there will be announcements. The poster features a man, who is looking inside the crack of a door in a very dark setting. The composition of the poster makes it look like the theme of the show will be pretty dark, not something light like ‘MY 3’. Also, Athithi looks very high on quality.
It is good for Disney+Hotstar and also for the viewers that the platform is focusing on regional projects.
