Tollywood’s Happening Producer, Anil Sunkara of AK Entertainment announced his Digital Debut last year with AK Originals. He is making Shadow – the famous Telugu novel into a web series. The novel penned by Madhu Babu was a rage in the 90s and is considered one of the gripping spy thrillers ever made in Tollywood.
The series will be directed by Gods of Dharmapuri (G.O.D) Director, Anish Kuruvilla and it will be streamed on Leading OTT Platform, Disney + Hotstar. Gods of Dharmapuri, many believe is by far the best web series that has come in Telugu and so, bringing onboard Anish Kuruvilla is a wise choice. The makers have not yet announced the main lead for the web series. But a little birdie in Filmnagar told us that Telugu hero Gopichand may play the lead role. But the development is yet to be completed.
The web series will be made on a large canvass and it will also feature some prominent faces of Hindi cinema to make it exciting for the audience of other languages. The first season is likely to have ten episodes and the continuation will depend on the success of the initial season, a source in the know told us.
