If you are a subscriber of Disney+Hotstar who keeps an eye on the content that is dropping then you would naturally be aware of this upcoming Telugu series called Yakshini. The series is fantastical and talks about the idea of a supernatural woman with many strange powers. The concept of Yakshini is very strong in Indian folklore as it is found in many cultures throughout South Asia.
Naturally, a lot of platforms would coincide in making a story on a character as interesting as Yakshini. So it is PocketFM vs Disney+Hotstar. The OTT giant has a series coming by that name. PocketFM on the other hand already has an audio series on the character by the same name.
Not only that but there are also allegations that Hotstar’s Yakshini is very similar to that PocketFM’s Yakshini. Now, the matter is in the Delhi High Court.
PocketFM has alleged a copyright violation against Disney+Hotstar. According to the schedule, the Hotstar series will drop on the platform on the 14th of June.
