If you are a horror movie buff and have not yet watched ‘Doctor Sleep’ then you have to watch it fast. The movie is a sequel to the Stanley Kubrick masterpiece ‘The Shining’ and is adapted from the story by Stephen King of the same name.
The movie came out in 2019 and tells the story of Danny Torrance, the son of Jack Torrance. Danny is all grown up now and is traumatized after the events of the Overlook hotel in his childhood. Jack Torrance, played by Jack Nicholson, goes crazy in ‘The Shining’ and tries to kill his son and wife and they flee from the hotel with great difficulty.
The role of Danny Torrance is played by Ewan McGregor and there are other actors in the movie like Rebecca Ferguson, Kyliegh Curran, Cliff Curtis and many more. The performances are amazing. The movie is written and directed by Mike Flanagan and works as a wonderful sequel to The Shining.
Well, obviously it does not match the style and perfection of Kubrick, but let us remind you that Kubrick’s movie was not liked by the author much and he quite approved of this movie. This can be reason enough to watch the movie.
