Don’t Worry Darling: Will The BTS Drama Eat Up Olivia Wilde’s Film?

Don’t Worry Darling: Will The BTS Drama Eat Up Olivia Wilde’s Film?

The behind-the-scenes drama of Olivia Wilde’s ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ looks more steamy than the film itself.

All the trailers of Olivia Wilde’s upcoming directional, Don’t Worry Darling, might have intrigued the viewers. But it seems like the BTS drama related to the film has gained more buzz than the film itself. The psychological thriller is less than ten days away from its premiere at this year’s Venice International Film Festival. However, it finds itself in the spotlight for various horrible reasons. Let’s dive deep into this mess!

Shia LaBeouf vs Olivia Wilde

In a recent interview with Variety, Wilde revealed her side of the story about LaBeouf’s removal from the film. The helmer stated that LaBeouf’s specific acting method failed to provide “a safe, trusting environment”.

The director further spilled beans about LaBeouf’s “troubled” private life, “A lot came to light after this happened that really troubled me, in terms of his behaviour. I find myself just really wishing him health and evolution because I believe in restorative justice. But for our film, what we really needed was an energy that was incredibly supportive. Particularly with a movie like this, I knew that I was going to be asking Florence to be in very vulnerable situations, and my priority was making her feel safe and making her feel supported.”

Wilde’s statement generated quite a controversy which forced the Transformers actor to respond in this way, “You and I both know the reasons for my exit. I quit your film because your actors and I couldn’t find time to rehearse.”

People think that the feud between Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh is still on!

Florence Pugh’s fanbase has noted that the actress is not that excited about promoting ‘Don’t Worry Darling’ these days. When the film’s trailer came out earlier this year, the actress did not share it via her social media accounts. Instead, she promoted one of her other projects, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer.

Additionally, one of the posts from the New York Post claimed that Pugh got pissed off from Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles’ relationship while filming.

Plus, a rumour about Styles receiving more than three times Pugh’s salary for the film is creating quite a storm on the internet.

Although, the helmer has quashed the rumours of an ongoing feud with Florence Pugh in her recent interview with Variety. Instead, she disclosed that she was “blown the f*** away” by the actress.

Don’t Worry Darling: The film that kicked off the relationship between Wilde and Styles

No matter how hard Wilde tries to promote the film as “a love letter to Nolan’s Inception and The Wachowski’s The Matrix film series”, people will forever remember it as the project that started Wilde and Styles’ relationship.

Will this BTS drama help ‘Don’t Worry Darling’? Only time will tell us. Helmed by Olivia Wilde, the film stars Florence Pugh, Harry Styles, Gemma Chan, KiKi Layne, Nick Kroll, Chris Pine, and the director herself. Stay tuned for more updates.
