The first-look images of Doug Liman’s next project, The Instigators, are out now, starring Matt Damon and Casey Affleck. Apart from the leading duo, the upcoming heist thriller has Hong Chau, Paul Walter Hauser, Michael Stuhlberg, Jack Harlow, Ving Rhames, Alfred Molina, and Ron Perlman.
Entertainment Weekly has unveiled the official first-look images from The Instigators. In one of the images, we can see both leading men in their mid-40s wearing hoodies.
Both Damon and Affleck were last seen together in Ocean’s Eleven (2001). The Instigators marks the on-screen reunion between these guys after 22 long years.

Damon plays Rory, a desperate father who reluctantly starts working with Cobby (Affleck). Together, they try to pull off a robbery to get their hands on the illegal money from a corrupted politician.
Affleck himself has described the film as a story “about two strangers who are hired for a heist. They become frenemies and then become friends while Jack Harlow yells at us, Paul Walter Hauser insults us, Ving Rhames hunts us, and Hong Chau keeps us alive.”
Helmed by Doug Liman, The Instigators will run in selected theatres for a week from August 2, before arriving on the Apple TV+ streaming platform on August 9. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have co-produced the film, while Casey Affleck and Chuck Maclean have written it. Stay tuned for more updates.
