“Down Memory Lane?: Looking Back At OTT Releases Of The Week”

The internet has been a very intriguing place lately and why? The plethora of new movies and series that have released on the big screen and OTT platforms, ofcourse!

We’re back with an exhaustive summary of this week’s hottest OTT releases.

1. A Gentleman in Moscow – Prime Video – April 2
The story of Count Alexander Rostov as finds himself going from riches to rags following the Russian Revolution. This is followed by a Soviet tribunal banishing him to the attic room of an opulent hotel, where, by pure luck, he discovers the true value of friendship, family, and love.

2. Together: Treble Winners – Netflix – April 2
A peek inside Manchester City’s historic 2022/23 Treble-winning season in this immersive docuseries as it brings you closer to this generational, star-studded squad more than ever before.

3. Extraordinary Birder with Christian Cooper – Disney+ Hotstar – April 2
Life-long birder Christian Cooper takes us on a journey to dive into and discover the wild, wonderful, and unpredictable world of birds!

4. Loot: Season 2 – Apple TV+ – April 3
The second installment of the hit series starring Maya Rudolph follows Molly Novak after she divorces her husband of 20 years. Now, she must figure out what to do with her $87 billion settlement. She decides to reengage with her charitable foundation and reconnect with the real world. Cherry on top: she ends up finding herself along the way!

5. Ripley – Netflix – April 4
A brand new drama starring Andrew Scott as a grifter in 1960s New York who is hired to convince a wealthy man’s son to return home from Italy. This unknowingly lands him right in the middle of a life of deceit, fraud, and murder.

6. Música – Prime Video – April 4
The story of a young man, who is plagued by the music in his head, as he comes to terms with an uncertain future while balancing love, family, and Brazilian culture in Newark, New Jersey.

7. Girls State – Apple TV+ – April 5
What would American democracy look like in the hands of a bunch of teenage girls? In this documentary, young female leaders from wildly different backgrounds in Missouri navigate an immersive experiment to create a government from the ground up.

8. Scoop – Netflix – April 5
Inspired by real events, this fictional dramatization gives an insider account into how the women of Newsnight secured Prince Andrew’s infamous interview regarding his infamous friend: Jeffrey Epstein.

9. Yannick – Mubi – April 5
The story of how in the middle of a performance of the play “Le Cocu” – a bad boulevard comedy at a Parisian theatre – Yannick gets up to interrupt the show and take the evening back in his hands.

10. Parasyte: The Grey – Netflix – April 5
When unidentified parasites violently take over human hosts and gain power, humanity must join hands together to combat the growing threat!
