This movie might be more than transactions; it could be the currency of DQ fans’ dream. Dulquer Salmaan, known for his acclaimed performances in Telugu movies like Mananati and Sita Ramam, is now in another Telugu venture, ‘Lucky Baskhar.’
At 04:41 pm, Dulquer Salmaan shared the first look of Lucky Baskhar on social media, while celebrating his 12th anniversary as an actor. The rupee symbol ‘₹’ instead of letter ‘r’ and the poster set in 1980s Bombay hint at a period drama with a financial scam narrative.
Under the direction of Venky Atluri, ‘Lucky Baskhar’ follows the narrative of an ambitious bank clerk. Produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya through Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, and presented by Srikara Studios, the film features Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead.
Initiating its filming in October 2023, ‘Lucky Baskhar’ was announced on Dulquer’s birthday last July, teasing his character through a poster that showcased him peering through old Rs 100 notes, with only his smile visible.
The eagerly awaited film, set on a grand scale, has its music composed by GV Prakash Kumar and editing by Navin Nooli. While the release date is yet to be disclosed, the production anticipates a grand theatrical release this summer.
With a clever pun in the title and the subtle ’04:41′ hinting as possible Easter egg, Lucky Baskhar seems poised to strike luck with DQ fans. Just a musing of, yes, another fan here.
Celebrating twelve years of my magical journey in Cinema, here’s presenting the first look of our very ambitious #LuckyBaskhar 💥📈#LuckyBaskharFirstLook
