Binged reported that Sonali Bendre’s starrer web series The Broken News became the most watched series of all time on the platform. So was the case with Rangbaaz which earned more than 125 Million views on Zee5.
But, as you may already know, Zee5 launched Duranga on their platform on the 19th of August.
It still has a week to complete but they have created yet another record.
Duranga is now the most watched series on Zee5.
But this is such a sweet problem that Zee5 always and always faces. Whenever they release any buzzy series then it suddenly becomes the most watched series.
The condition of films is not much different but that is for some other day.
Let’s assume that this is indeed a real condition with them and they don’t post any gimmick. Still, it is very much believable as the subscriber base of Zee5 is small but their slate is decent enough to garner more subscribers.
Also, in recent times we don’t have many good original Hindi series on OTT and Duranga might have reaped that fortune.
But this might hamper their credibility as a platform if they keep announcing such information.
Whatever the case may be, this good thing for Zee5 might feed on their brand image.
