It is all but confirmed that Amazon Prime Video has bagged the post theatrical digital streaming rights of Pawan Kalyan and Rana’s Bheemla Nayak, the Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum. Now, here is an interesting update pertaining to the prospect of early OTT premiers for Bheemla Nayak.
As per reports, the makers of Bheemla Nayak are including an early OTT premieres clause in the agreement with Amazon Prime Video. This way, the producers will receive a substantially high amount from Amazon Prime Video if Bheemla Nayak is streamed on the OTT platform in under four weeks from the theatrical release.
This decision was taken in the wake of the possible targeted approach from the government of Andhra Pradesh. In case the government tries to solely suppress the theatrical run of Bheemla Nayak, much like the way it did with Pawan Kalyan’s previous film, Vakeel Saab, then Bheemla Nayak will be going for an early OTT release, in order to make up for the lost ground in the theatrical market.
The makers of the Pawan Kalyan are preparing for the worst possible scenario and they would be hoping it wouldn’t come to that, given the fact that Bheemla Nayak is riding high on buzz and is expected to have a fruitful run at the box office next Sankranthi season.
Bheemla Nayak is an intense action drama directed by Saagar K Chandra. The film has Rana in the other lead role. Trivikram is penning the screenplay and dialogues for the film. The Sithara Entertainments production venture will be out in theatres from the 12th of January 2022.
