Enough has been said and trolled against Indian films that copied concepts and even shots from Hollywood movies. Let’s consider the latest case of Hrithik Roshan’s Fighter. The film was badly trolled and labelled as a copy of “Top Gun”. This allegation came even before the release of the film, why?
Because we love to troll our own films to sound cool, we are also quick to find out the similarities.
Now, as Binged raised issues of Oscar winner CODA being uncannily similar to Khamoshi: The Musical, we are here again. This time with one of the landmark films of Hollywood, Joker Folie á Deux.
The first part of the movie won an Oscar for Joaquin Phoenix and the trailer of the second part is already here.
How is it?
Exquisitely beautiful. It is musical, colourful, captivating and disturbing at the same time.
One particular scene that stood out for most of the people is at the end of the trailer. Harley Quinn draws a smile shape on a glass and Joker fills it with his extremely eerie real smile.
It is catching the attention and is indeed a very moving scene.
But, do you know that Kamal Hassan did it way before it was cool?

This is exactly the same concept from Kamal Hassan’s Aalavandhan. Now, it might be a copy, might be an inspiration or even better, a tribute.
