So, after much anticipation and so much of waiting Netflix finally announced the release date of Élite Season 4. The Spanish series that has gone on to become a globally loved show is set to return for the 4th season on the 18th of June this year. The 3 seasons before this have been mind boggling and filled with utter suspense throughout, making this a fan favourite around the world.
Netflix yesterday dropped the date announcement video for the same and along with the release date, we can see the entire new cast that will be joining the elite Las Encinas for their schooling, making it harder for the older batch to survive. The brand new cast includes, Andrés Velencoso, Manu Rios, Carla Díaz, Martina Cariddi, Pol Granch and Diego Martín. They will be accompanying the series regulars Itzan Escamilla, Miguel Bernardeau, Arón Piper, Omar Ayuso, Claudia Salas and Georgina Amorós.
The infamous institute Las Encinas, that houses the young and elite kids will see the entry of a brand new director, a reputed businessman in the entire Europe. He brings along with him, his family and his three children. While he tries to set new rules for the school to get it back on track, it’s his children and the old students of Las Encinas who wreck havoc once again.
As much as we loved the earlier cast and their love for each other, we won’t be seeing some of the fan favourites this time, as they were shown exiting the show last season. They include Danna Paola, Mina El Hammani, Ester Expósito and Jorge López. While Maria Pedraza’s character was killed in the first season, the 3rd season saw the death of Alvaro Rico’s character “Polo”.
The show will stick true to its original idea of a school filled with teenagers that are elite and the unraveling of their deepest and darkest secrets. The show has been renewed for a fifth season already and even has two brand new cast on board for the upcoming season.
“Élite” is one of the few international seasons that has managed to grab attention so well that the streaming service has gone on to continue it beyond season 3.
