Emmy Awards have been distributed. The night was illustrious and the most fortunate were HBO and Netflix. While HBO and HBO Max doubled their wins from last year by winning 38 Awards, Netflix made another history.
Lee Jung-jae became the first Asian actor to win the Lead Actor award in any Drama series. But, even after so many awards and diversity, not everything went well with Emmy Awards. Just like the Oscars, controversies and disappointed fans always go together with any award event. .
This time, the rage is unleashed by the fans of Better Call Saul. The spin-off series to Breaking Bad is one of the finest and most sought-after series in the world. No doubt the fans of Breaking Bad come hived towards Better Call Saul and that contributes to their fandom.
But, the Emmys never seem to understand the intricacies of Better Call Saul. Since its inception in 2015, the show has been nominated a whopping 46 times and it NEVER won any award.
The gaze is also falling hard on Squid Game. People are claiming that Emmys are just milking the popularity of the series. This way, they are involved in fan-pleasing. But, whatever the case may be, Better Call Saul and Emmys don’t seem to have a sound relationship.
This is not going well with the fans of the series and their outburst seems justified.
The #EmmyAwards2022 are a waste of space, no wins for #bettercallsaul is a fkin joke imo

Has there ever been a show to get blue-balled at the Emmys as hard as Better Call Saul? Show gets a whopping 46 nominations since 2015 and has won…zero. #BetterCallSaul
