Robert Pattinson is no longer “the guy from the Twilight movies.” We believe it is safe to say that the actor’s prominence overshadows the Twilight movie series’ popularity now. After coming out of ‘Twilight’, Pattinson has starred in numerous sensational films, and one of them is The Batman (2022), directed by Matt Reeves, currently streaming on Netflix.
The movie revolves around Batman, who has been fighting crime in the fictional Gotham City for over two years, trying to curb the city’s corruption. However, all hell breaks loose after the Riddler (played by Paul Dano) starts targeting Gotham’s corrupt elite.
The Batman is nothing short of a masterpiece. It gives a neo-noir feel, which reminds us of many classic detective stories. The dark and rain-soaked representation of the Gotham City perfectly suits The Caped Crusader’s brooding persona in the film.
Additionally, Batman is not just a brawler in this film. Thanks to Matt Reeves, we also witness the superhero protagonist’s expert detective skills as well.
Robert Pattinson bestows a nuanced portrayal of Batman/Bruce Wayne, brilliantly displaying his struggles with his inner demons and spirit brimmed with vengeance. Paul Dano gives a chilling and impactful performance as the Riddler. The rest of the cast, consisting of Colin Farrell, Zoe Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Andy Serkis, and more, perform brilliantly in the film.
Overall, The Batman is a must-watch film. Stream it now on Netflix.
