Eros Now has strengthened its game in the local language OTT field as it has acquired a lot of titles along with creating several unique originals themselves.
Eros Now’s Bidrohini is a Bengali revenge drama filled with action and a strong feminine presence. The film stars Rituparna Sengupta, Gautam Mukherjee, Joy Bhattacharya, Bidisha Chowdhury, and Santana Basu in main roles.
Bidrohini will be directed by Sandip Chowdhury. This is the first time that Rituparna Sen will be seen essaying the role of a cop in a film. The film revolves around the life of a police officer Kiran who is all set to fight against the evil guys to root out corruption from society and the system but the journey won’t be so easy.
She will have to battle all the odds to make it and also have to fight against her family for the things that she wants to do. It also highlights the biases that we hold as a society and how holding such a post can be a much tougher task for a female as compared to her male.
Dialogues like “A woman police officer can manage her department but I doubt if she can manage her home.” Will make you question the surroundings that we live in and the plight of all the women officers who are currently serving in the force.
Bidrohini promises to take us on a roller coaster where the female officer has to juggle all the different aspects of her life along with her professional commitment.
