Esha Deol, a name that’s familiar to everyone who was hooked to Bollywood movies in the early and mid-2000s. Esha Deol, quickly made a name for herself with her films not to forget her ever-so-memorable performance in the super hit movie “Dhoom”, with John Abraham, Abhisekh Bachchan, and Uday Chopra, and so many more movies. For a while, Esha Deol has been away from the film radar, but now it’s time for her comeback. Esha Deol recently was in the news for a comeback but today, the news is altogether different.
Esha Deol is now not only coming back to films, but she will now come back as a producer for films. Yes, that’s right, the loving actress is all set to don the producer’s hat and according to her, it seems she has never been more ready. Her debut project as a producer is titled “Ek Duaa” and the film is set to launch during streaming platform Voot Selects’ film festival, which is basically the launch of various films on their platform.

Now, Esha is producing the movie and also starring in the movie as the main lead. The movie is directed by Ramkamal Mukherjee and is being co-produced by Venky’s and Assorted Motion Pictures. Esha will helm the movie as a producer under the banner of her production house, which she shares with her husband and is named “Bharat Esha Films”. The production house will also soon see its launch.
There’s nothing revealed about the upcoming film but according to an interview Esha Deol mentioned that the kind of work she has been looking for, for her comeback into films, this movie fits perfectly in the criteria. She has further mentioned that the movie had such a story that she felt she had to do more for the film, rather than just being the main lead. This is why she decided to back the movie as a producer.
Besides “Ek Duaa”, Voot Select Film Festival will also bring movies “Natkhat” starring Vidya Balan, “Lihaaf”, “Lines”, the anthology “Shuruaat Ka Twist” starring Neena Gupta, Chunky Pandey, Amit Sial among others. The movies will start launching on the platform on the 24th of July, 2021.

As for Esha Deol, besides this, she will also appear alongside Ajay Devgn in his much-awaited web-series, “Rudra- The Edge of Darkness” which is the official adaptation of the English series “Luther”. The series is slated to stream on Disney+ Hotstar.
