Marvel‘s ‘Eternals’ has generated a lot of interest in India. The Bollywood angle and the presence of Indian actor Harish Patel have sent interest in the film skyrocketing. The actor has garnered widespread acclaim for his turn as Karun in the film. Eternals hit theatre screens in India on 5th November and did decent business, considering the pandemic scenario.
However, not all Marvel fans made it to the theatres to catch the film as Covid-19 is still a fear for many. These fans are waiting for Eternals to arrive on OTT on Disney Plus Hotstar (the home of Marvel), so that they can watch the film in the safety of their homes.
The question foremost in everyone’s minds is “when will Eternals arrive on Disney Plus Hotstar”? We at Binged are here with some concrete information. Read on!
In its second quarterly review event, Disney had categorically stated that the company will let every future Marvel movie post-Black Widow enjoy a minimum theatrical window of 45 days before they think of releasing it on Disney Plus. By the above criteria, ‘Eternals’ released in theatres worldwide on 5th November. 45 days from the release date comes up to 20th December. So Eternals will only arrive on Disney Plus and Disney Plus Hotstar after 20th December.
Since Disney has “Encanto” releasing on Disney Plus as a Christmas release, the company has shunted ‘Eternals’ to a January 2022 release. As per industry insiders, Disney and Marvel have set 12th January, 2022 as the release date for Eternals on Disney Plus in all the countries that the streamer has a presence in, either as Disney Plus or as Disney Plus Hotstar.
So folks, Eternals will arrive on Disney Plus Hotstar on 12th January, 2022, unless Disney does not change the date for unforeseen reasons. Mark your calendars, folks!
